Overvecht

Overvecht is Utrecht's largest post-war experiment, ten neighbourhoods named after rivers and nearly 36,000 residents north of the railway. Amenities reach 8.8, more than adequate, but the rest of the picture is bleak: social life 3.2, housing 3.6, safety 3.8 and a 3.2 overall. The 1960s high-rise slabs carry a stubborn disadvantage here that urban renewal is only slowly chipping away.
