Bolsward

Bolsward, one of the Frisian eleven towns, holds six neighbourhoods within and around De Wallen, together over 10,000 residents. Nature (6.5), safety and amenities (both 6.4) sit neatly above the middle. The living and social climate lags: housing 4.3, social life 3.7. That last figure presses the overall down to 4.1. A historic town with pleasant surroundings, but a community life that disappoints on paper.
