Hoogvliet

Hoogvliet is a post-war satellite in Rotterdam's port belt, two large neighbourhoods and just over 36,000 residents split north and south. Nature manages a 5.8 here, unusually high for Rotterdam, and amenities a 7.1. Against that stands a weak core: housing 3.8, safety 3.9, social life 4.4. The 3.6 overall shows that a green setting does not offset the shortfall in day-to-day liveability.
