The district labelled Zuid takes in Frisian villages such as Surhuisterveen and Harkema in the municipality of Achtkarspelen. Safety stands out at 8.5, followed by nature (6.5). Social life, though, lags well behind at 3.6, and housing (4.4) is thin too. Eight neighbourhoods hold nearly 13,000 residents. The 4.8 overall reflects a safe, green, but socially rather sparse area.
